I. Sonoba Kihon (basics in place)

1. Shizentai. Ageuke, same hand tate-uraken, sme hand chokuzuki, same hand sotouke, same hand yoko-enpi, same hand yoko-uraken.

Attention: consistency of movements, transitions from tension to relaxation, constant vibration in the hips, fore arms in the last moment.

2. Work in groups of three or in pairs. Zenkutsudachi, te-o koshi (hands on hips). Partners fix their knees. Koshi-no kaiten (hip rotations hanmi-shomen).

3. Zenkutsudachi gyakuzuki kamae. Perform the first movement very slowly, without tension, but with strong tension, stretch the body as much as possible: on the second count, release the tension sharply and perform the second movement quickly. Kizami-zuki gyaku-zuki, ageuke gyakuzuki, sotouke gyakuzuki, gedanbarai gyakuzuki, uchi-uke gyakuzuki. Imagination: bow and arrow, tension and release of the arrow on relaxation.

4. Zenkutsudachi gyakuzuki kamae. Ageuke with the same hand tate-uraken, with the other hand gyaku-zuki + sotouke, transition to kibadachi yoko-enpi, yoko-uraken, transition to zenkutsudachi gyakuzuki + transition to nekoashi-dachi uchi-uke, maegeri, kizami-zuki gyaku-zuki.

Do the combination as a whole, take it apart into pieces. Connect fragments. Pay attention to the transitions between combinations, consistency of movements. For example, between gyakuzuki one combination and uchi-uke the next combination, there is no hard pause. Important: keep the weight on the supporting leg in nekoashi-dashikak as long as possible, after maegeri slide the front leg and perform kizami-zuki in motion, and at the very end, switch to zenkutsudachi gyakuzuki. Important: do not stomp.

4а. An introductory exercise to combine combinations into one sequence: zenkutsudachi slow tateshuto, fast and fusion gyakuzuki and transition to nekoashi-dachi uchi-uke (imagination: as if pushing your fist away from your opponent).

4b. Separately, practice maegeri kizami-zuki gyaku-zuki from nekoashi-dachi and connect with 4a. No stomping! Strong legs!

5. Zenkutsudachi chudan kakiwake kamae: kaekomi. Only raising hip for maegeri and hip turn for yokogeri kekomi, back and return to zenkutsudachi. Very important: hand work. The hands should help lock the body into position, elbows in.

6. Zenkutsudachi kamae: maegeri, yokogeri kekomi to the side without placing the foot. Watch the hands.
